Alex Sanchez is a third generation Navajo artist. He makes beautiful works of art in contemporary and traditional fashion. He is most known for his Petroglyph style that he has been perfecting for some time. His traditional work is fascinating as well, he uses some of the best turquoise in his works and builds the silver around the stones. His Petroglyph works include suns, bears, dragonflies, stars, and many other designs. He overlays these designs on a beautiful textured and oxidized background. Alex is a world class Navajo artist and his works will be very collectible for years to come.
This is a, sterling silver, Navajo handmade pendant with a natural Kingman Turquoise stone. The stone is a beautiful electric blue color with an amazing red matrix. The stone sits in a custom cut bezel.
The silver work on this piece is breathtaking! Alex took his traditional Grandmother style pendant, and added circles of life, stars, rain, a bear, and dragonflies. Alex payed attention to detail for this pendant, each design was hand cut, and individually appliqued. The back is also stamped with designs. Alex finished this piece with a beautiful black oxidation and a high shine.
The measurements for this pendant are 4-1/8 inches from top of bale to bottom and 1-1/4 inch at widest point. The bale has a 9/16 inch diameter. The stone measures 9/16 inch long by 3/4 inch at widest point
