Alex Sanchez is a 3rd generation Navajo artist. He makes beautiful works of art in contemporary and traditional fashion. He is most known for his Petroglyph style that he has been perfecting for some time. His traditional work is fascinating as well, he uses some of the best turquoise in his works and builds the silver around the stones. His Petroglyph works include suns, bears, dragonflies, stars, and many other designs. He overlays these designs on a beautiful textured and oxidized background. Alex is a world class Navajo artist and his works will be very collectible for years to come.
This is a pair of handmade, sterling silver, Navajo contemporary petroglyph post back dangle earrings, with Sonoran Gold Turquoise. The turquoise used for these earrings is are a beautiful blue/green color with a red web matrix.
The silver work is done in Alex’s amazing contemporary petroglyph style. Alex appliqued moons, dragonflies, stars, and circles of life to each of the beautifully textured and dark oxidized dangles. Alex also stamped the backs of these earrings with swirl designs.
These earrings measure 3 inches from top to bottom, by 13/16 inch wide, and the stones measure 9/16 inch by 3/8 inch.
