Handmade by Navajo artist Ned Nez and Genevieve Hatathlie
This is a three strand rare natural Mediterranean Coral necklace and pendant set, this set is an amazing collaboration by Ned and Genny. The sterling silver (removable) pendant features fourteen amazing natural rare deep red pear shape coral gems. The coral sit in a saw tooth bezel, with twisted wire at the base of each gem.
The silver work on this piece is AMAZING! The Naja pendant was made in traditional Nez fashion, each coral gem is separated by a drop of silver, and a beautiful hand twisted square wire adoring the inside frame of the Naja. Ned completed the pendant with a beautiful contemporary high shine. Genny hand strung all three strands of coral gems with olive shell and Kingman Turquoise nuggets, she meticulously separated each Coral gem with olive shell beads, and placed turquoise nugget beads throughout the strands. Genny completed the necklace with sterling cones and a beautiful flower toggle clasp.
The length of the necklace is 33-1/4 inches from end to end, the (removable) pendant measures 3 inches from top of bale to bottom by 2-1/2 inches at widest. The coral on the pendant measure approximately 3/8 inch by 1/4 inch.
